Register your child's interest to receive instrumental or singing lessons for the Academic Year 2019/20

small group lesson
3 in a group (20 mins)

£55.00 per term

Your child will learn a musical instrument in a group of 3 and will relieve 20 minutes per week. Sessions will be spread over 11 weeks of the term and be delivered in your child’s school. Once you have completed the registration process, a member of the music team will be in contact with details of your child’s timetable. 

Sessions work out as £5.00 per lesson over 11 weeks

SMALL GROUP LESSON
2 IN A GROUP (20 MINS)

£82.50 per term

Your child will learn a musical instrument in a group of 2 and will relieve 20 minutes per week. Sessions will be spread over 11 weeks of the term and be delivered in your child’s school. Once you have completed the registration process, a member of the music team will be in contact with details of your child’s timetable.

Sessions work out as £7.50 per lesson over 11 weeks

Your child will learn a musical instrumental of their choice in a group of 3. The lesson will last 30 minutes and will be led by an professional Newave music teacher. All lessons will be delivered in you child’s school on a rotational timetable. This will be communicated with the school and before lessons commence. Please note, timetables may change each term. 

Sessions work out as £8.00 per lesson over 11 weeks

SMALL GROUP LESSON
2 IN A GROUP (30 MINS)

£99.00 per term

Your child will learn a musical instrumental of their choice in a group of 2. The lesson will last 30 minutes and will be led by an professional Newave music teacher. All lessons will be delivered in you child’s school on a rotational timetable. This will be communicated with the school and before lessons commence. Please note, timetables may change each term. 

Sessions work out as £9.00 per lesson over 11 weeks

One to one lesson
(20 mins)

£132.00 per term

Your child will receive one to one music lessons with a professional music teacher. Sessions will take place over 11 weeks of each term and consist of a 20 minute one to one session

£198.00 per term

Your child will receive one to one music lessons with a professional music teacher. Sessions will take place over 11 weeks of each term and consist of a 30 minute one to one session

Most frequent questions and answers

Yes, most certainly. We lease instruments to students over the course of the time the individual has lessons with a Newave teacher. You can see a full list of instruments we offer by clicking here or through our registration form.

We provide instrument tuition on the following instruments:

  • Strings – Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Violin, Viola & Cello
  • Singing – Pop, Musical Theatre & Classical
  • Drums & Percussion
  • Piano & Keyboard
  • Woodwind – Flute, Clarinet & Saxophone
  • Brass – Trumpet, Trombone & Cornet

All lessons take place at your child’s school. Lessons will usually take place during school times with the option of after school lessons

You pay for lessons by clicking on the ‘Register Today’. This will then take you to a booking form. You will need to input the required data and click submit. A member of the Newave Admin Team will then call you to arrange online payment. This is normally done though PayPal or BACs and should only take 5 minutes.

Yes, we will support your child to access music examinations and prepare them for submission. Our most popular route is ‘Rock School’. However, RBSM and Trinity College are also available for students. This will be discussed in more detail once registration is complete. 

Yes, if your child wants to learn a musical instrument for the fun of it, then we actively encourage this. We will often signpost opportunities for band based work and local ensembles for your child to join, if they so wish. 

If you need to cancel your lessons, we require a half terms notice (5 weeks) in order to make make appropriate refund arrangements. Please refer to the our T’s & C’s by clicking here

If you have to cancel a session, will we do our best to make up the session at a later. Please note, this is not always possible due to the complexities of timetabling. If we cancel a session, we will either make up the session at a later date or provide a refund for the missed lesson.
